So far I only know of two PAL releases, Model 1 (big box) and Model 2 (small box). Does anyone know of any game pack in releases with different artwork, or even better, cardboard sleeves . The only game pack in bundle I've seen so far just had a small sticker on the box informing you of the games included, I'm hoping there is some more interesting variations to collect.

Just spotted a Virtua Fighter box variation, the seller wants £100 for it with 21 common games so there's no way I'm buying it. I've asked him for a better picture of the box though . Here's a pic until I get a better one: And here's pics of a standard model 1 (top) and a standard model 2 (bottom) just for reference. The model 2 in the photo had 5 games included with it, I just wish there was a cardboard sleeve to advertise the fact rather than that crappy little sticker in the bottom left corner

Funny how Sega used those crappola stickers for so long to say there were games included.. They have been using that same style sticker with wonky edges since the SMS days!
Have you had any more MD box variations.. might make for an interesting thread aswell.

I have a Dreamcast with one of those stickers on too, they must have bought a huge bulk lot of them in the early days or something . Just spotted another variation, and a cardboard sleeve one to boot. I've been searching for Saturn variations for ages and these are the first ones I've seen, hopefully the sellers will drop their prices a bit so I can buy them

Interesting thread. In North America they'd just use stickers to differentiate what was inside. Counting stickers there are probably about 8 different releases, but all I really care about are the different kinds of boxes, which are similar to the ones released over there with the wider box for the model 1 and the more square packaging for the model 2. We never had any of that cool artwork right on the system though. The first release had a nice shiny "Virtua Fighter" logo sticker on it, which is the version I received when I first bought it as a kid. I have a complete model 2 as well, but like with the SMS, the second version is crap.
