I personally enjoy this rant. After 6 years of collecting there are still some games that give me good reason to want to pack it all in, sell my stuff and move on with my life.
My personal 'arses' (as we'd say in Glasgow) are:
For MD: Robocop VS Terminator (SEGA Classics) King of the Monsters (SEGA Classics) World Cup 94 (KIXX Version) World Championship Soccer 2 (Original Blue Box) Whirlwind Snooker (SEGA Sports)
For GG: SEGA Game Pack 4 in 1 (Complete with Box) Superman (SEGA Classics) Double Dragon (SEGA Classics) Strider (KIXX) Star Wars (KIXX) Road Rash (KIXX) World Cup 94 (KIXX) **may not exist**
PLUS - to rant more, what is with all the rare games that took me AGES to find suddenly appearing all the time now that I own one! Bodycount seems to be readily available all the time on eBay now. I remember hunting for ages to get a copy.
Anyone have similar games?

Robocop Vs Terminator "Classic" release for the SMS. It's the only game I need and I've been hunting it for years. I did manage to buy it once, but that fell through. :(
The "Classic" Batman Returns (also for the SMS) was the only other game I've been hunting -- unsuccessfully -- for years, but I got a copy a few days back! :D

Most of mine are box sets and stuff apart from one which I have been searching for for years, SMS II version of Sonic 2. I will have it one day.
Other stuff:
Primal Rage box set (MD PAL Aus only release) Phantom 2040 box set (MD PAL Aus only release) Batman Forever gift set (MD PAL UK release) Asterix Gift set (SMS Euro, god help my bank account if one of these ever shows up for auction ;D)

Did you ever resolve the last Smurfs 2 deal you had? I'm hoping you got your money back.

Yeah the courier company finally agreed that it is lost forever, I'll have the money back soon. I do wonder where the parcels that never arrive actually do go, someone somewhere has surely had some nice sms games out of me!

The US blue label Rambo. I've been hunting that for years and when I first started looking I found a cart only of it within a few weeks, but I haven't seen any part of the Rambo re-release since. It's the one thing I need to complete my re-release slate. I suppose also the US Sonic. I thought I finally hit the jackpot when I purchased one from a seller last month. I asked him about the barcode sticker and he claimed he had it. I bought it right away, and asked for a picture. His batteries were "dead", so he couldn't take one. Whatever, I'd gamble on $20 for that. Well, it never arrived. He claimed he had "another one" that he could send me if I re-payed the postage. I told him I'd do it only for a picture as proof, since even at another $10 I'd still be sitting on a mighty find. Here's the picture he gave me: Isn't that the most convincing photo you've ever seen?
